Some images and special moments I lived last month during the International Writing Residency Program of NEF Animation, which is hosted and coproduced by the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud.
I have no words to express how grateful I am. I feel that sometimes pictures are better than words.
I'm very happy to share some moments of the exhibition Mes Maisons Volantes, that took place from June 9 to 12 at the Maison de l'Ange in Châteaubriant.
With great joy I was finally able to unveil the work done during the residency and the pandemic lockdown : the stop motion animations and the flying houses made during the workshops, the animation tests for the short film, the drawings and of course, all the responses I received from my survey: "What's a flying house?" lunched in Avril 2020. Thanks again to all those who took part in it !
On this occasion, the work of another artist, Solweig Von Kleist, also invited to the animation film residency on the territory of Châteaubriant-Derval, was exhibited. Together we did a very good job creating a charming exhibition and offering a welcoming atmosphere.
I would like to invite you to participate in my short film project MES MAISONS VOLANTES (My flying houses).
This survey will help me to go deepen on the idea and the perception that each of us has towards “home” considered as a concrete and symbolic place, that works as an intermediary microcosm between the body and the world.
Why a flying house? Although the house offers man protection, stability and memory, what could its representations be in a story about wandering, uprooting and loneliness?
At this time of confinement, our perception changes again, domestic place stands out strongly in our daily life and becomes the only corner of the world that keep us protected.

Cette enquête vise à m'aider à approfondir l'idée et la perception que chacun de nous a de la “maison” considérée comme un lieu concret et symbolique, qui fonctionne comme un microcosme intermédiaire entre le corps et le monde.
Pourquoi une maison volante? Bien que la maison offre à l'homme protection, stabilité et mémoire, quelles peuvent être ses représentations dans une histoire qui parle d'errance, de déracinement et de solitude?
En ce moment de confinement, notre perception change à nouveau, le lieu domestique s’impose fortement dans notre quotidien et devient le seul coin du monde capable de nous protéger.

Vorrei invitarvi a partecipare al mio progetto di cortometraggio MES MAISONS VOLANTES (Le mie case volanti).
Questa indagine sulle case volanti ha lo scopo di aiutarmi ad approfondire l’idea e la percezione che ognuno di noi ha nei confronti della “casa” intesa come luogo concreto e simbolico, che funziona come un microcosmo intermediario tra il corpo e il mondo.
Perché una casa volante? Sebbene la casa assicura all’uomo protezione, stabilità e memoria, quali possono essere le sue rappresentazioni in un racconto che parla di erranza, sradicamento e solitudine?
In questo momento di confinamento, la nostra percezione cambia ancora, il luogo casalingo s’impone con forza nella nostra vita quotidiana e diventa il solo angolo di mondo capace di proteggerci.
